Where your gift goes

Emanating from Sister-to-Sister, a community-caring group formed on January 17, 1994 to support Black females, Sister-to-Sister, Inc. serves as a collaborative, tax-exempt 501(c)(3), public charity created in May, 2020. Operating on a shoestring budget, with $25 annual membership dues, the all-volunteer board of directors, two part-time independent contractors, and 2 generous website design volunteers, our charity’s impact is substantial. Dues are kept extremely low to enable anyone committed to our mission to enjoy valuable benefits and services. 100% of our leaders contribute financially and in-kind, and less than 12% of our annual income is used for overhead expenses.

Monthly Donations of $25.00 - $1,000 will support:

  • General Overhead
  • Growth & Expansion - Chartered Chapters’ Formation
  • Educational Programs (e.g., youth and adult financial literacy, health and wellness, business and career development, employment, etc.)

One-time Donations of $100.00 - $1,000 will support:

  • Higher ED Student Scholarships (college, graduate, and professional)
  • Youth Mentoring
  • Sister-to-Sister, Inc.’s trademarked Onyx Dada Marketplace – A platform for BIPOC female entrepreneurs to sell their products and services, online (launch platform, engage a contracted project coordinator, design and maintain the platform, and obtain vendor’s technical assistance, as needed).
  • Sister-to-Sister, Inc. Black Maternal and Mental Health Education Program (e.g., monthly workshops’ presenter fees, supplies, printing, mailings, etc.)
